Psychological Assessment focusing on cognitive, emotional, and behavioural aspects of eating disorder.

Nutritional Assessment in relation to food intake and weight management.
Multidisciplinary Treatment of Eating Disorders:
Following assessment, treatment plans are then developed and bespoke clinical interventions can be offered depending on the needs of the individual and the family.
These can include:

Psychiatric management of Eating Disorder and comorbid illness.

Psychological therapies such as motivational enhancement therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and emotion regulation approaches.

Nutrition therapies such as psychoeducation regarding nutrition, meal planning and meal support.

Parent support sessions focusing on psychoeducation relating to the eating disorder and management strategies can also be part of the intervention.

All interventions are in line with best practice and evidence-based guidance as outlined in NICE Guidance for the Treatment of Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders, NICE 2017.
